Gustavo Faerman CFI-CFII
My aviation journey spans two continents and a lifetime of dreaming.
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where I first earned my private pilot license. Although I moved to Silicon Valley in 2011 to continue my career in Tech, I never lost the itch to fly.
Seven years ago, I decided to press "reset" on that dream. I joined Advantage Aviation and did it all over again—earning every rating from Private Pilot through CFII right here at the club.
I love traveling with my family, photography, the outdoors, and sharing the magic of flight. Whether you're looking to earn your wings, transition into high-performance owner-operated aircraft, master glass cockpits, or simply explore the Bay Area skies with a mentor who understands the demands of a high-intensity career—I'd love to help you get there.
Mentor
I come from the Silicon Valley tech world, where I've spent my career building teams and shipping products. But my favorite role has always been mentoring and coaching people to reach their potential. I bring that same structured, people-focused approach to the flight deck—tailored to driven professionals who treat flying not as a career path, but as the ultimate expression of freedom outside of one.
Plane Builder
For me, aviation is not just a hobby; it is a lifestyle and a passion. I am deeply immersed in the mechanics and the art of flying: I own a Bonanza B36TC, I fly Cirrus (SR20/22T), DA50, and Cessnas, and I even built a Sling TSI with one of my best friends—with our own hands and a rivet machine!
